Green Pond !!! Empty Green Pond !!!

My main pond has turned a lovely shade of pea green. Not sure what has happened as there is no sign of blanket weed.

I have a UV on but rarely use it as the showers seem to keep it all clean but not now.Think I had better change my bulbs(naughty they are 2 years old) and get the UV on.

    Anyone else suffering?

THis year I have cut away the tree that used to shade the pond in hope the summer temps will raise to 22+. This seemed to work perfect when we actually had some sun. Anyway last year I never had to have the UV on but this year I have had it running as it was needed.

Must admit that I have not needed to put on UV much but it needs it now.

Changed the bulbs on Saturday and having to clean the Nexus nearly every day at the moment so hopefully it will start to clear.

    Koi are loving it.Pea soup!

7 Days later and the bulbs seem to be doing the job!

I can see down to about 3 feet now.

Nexus needing regular cleaning to get rid of the muck but at last can see my koi.

Never done this before but it made me change the bulbs!Phillips of coarse!

How is everybody else doing with the green stuff?
