What type of Treats do you feed!

Other then the normal standard foods you feed your koi what treats do you feed them?

If you dont feed them treats can you explain the reasons why?


Mine get the odd treat of Muscles, Prawns, Sweetcorn, They wont eat brown bread!

Mine love mussels and cheerios Only when my temp is around the 20's

my main pond gets the main diet of the growing pond once temps are up and that is paste food made with natural honey and water and the odd orange segment thrown in now and then

I would never have thought about an orange! but I do know someone now who feed them half orange as a treat

Anyone else wish to add to this thread?

Minced chicken breast mixed with a bit of honey and vitamin E

Mussels,prawns,sweetcorn and boiled rice

Just wanted to ask.....Do you feed this minced chicken 'raw' or 'cooked'? And do you think minced turkey would do cos i've got some in the fridge am making into tonights tea? Mmmm. spicy meatballs, wholemeal pasta twists and sweet n sour sauce. Tummy rumbling already! yumm
