Rolling Eyes Well thats the thanks I get for sending the good weather back to the UK from my trip to Greece. I could not beleive the amount of blanketweed that has grown in my pond in the space of a week, the stuff is metres long. affraid

Cant decide whether to continue with the replenish or throw some blanketweed treatment in, anyone have success with blitzing the pond daily with replenish/advantage ?

Yes had a lovely rest n relaxing in the sun.

I do remember seeing your growth of blanketweed did you just use advantage to clear it ? I am going to dose daily with replenish and see if it clears it.

What is bugging me with the blanketweed is that I have been dosing weekly with the replenish (same as advantage) and only gone over by a couple of days and the weed has taken hold.

    hi chrissy
welcome back hope you had a good time, ive totaly eradicated the blanket weed with the replenish, its all gone brown and is peeling off the walls like mad, mind you mine wasn't that long to start with. All the koi are doing fine, they do flash now and again but they have definetly carmed down from what they were doing,

I am dosing every day with replenish to see if it will clear ive cleaned the settlement filter today so that should help. Never had so much blanketweed in 15 years of pond keeping.

Glad your koi are doing ok Dave.

thats a strange one for you chrissy - your nitrate / phosphate levels must have taken a hike recently. I have in previous years suffered with blanket weed but this year none so far (tempting fate) - now this could be just a coincidence, could be that my pond is at another level of maturity or it could be the effect of replenish - in my case I suppose time will tell
