We all tinker with our pond setups its all part and parcel of koi keeping I think. So what is the next thing you are thinking of tinkering with to improve your system ?

They are a doddle to clean much easier than a bead filter and the waste it catches is removed from the water instantly.

I had one of those when they first came out and because they are pump fed and gravity return they have to be mounted above pond height which makes then awkward to access. With the ultra and estro sieves they are gravity fed and pump returned so they are easier to access and a quick flush to clean.

Just bought a very large Vortex off a guy locally. It may go into my existing system and be used for the rebuild next year

What size is the vortex? will you be running it as a vortex or adapting to serve another purpose?
